Set up your Axi MT5 demo in 5 minutes

Everything you need to enter the contest: create your Axi account, open the MT5 demo, and know exactly which three values to enter on trade-wars.org.

Step 1 — Create your Axi account & get MT5

  1. Create your Axi account through our link: axi.com — open an account (affiliate link — see our Terms). Using this link is optional — an Axi demo account you already have works exactly the same, with identical prize eligibility. The contest only ever needs a demo account: no deposit is required to compete.
  2. Download and install the Axi MetaTrader 5 terminal (from the Axi website or your Client Portal → Trading platforms → MT5).

Step 2 — Open a demo account inside MT5

  1. In MT5: File → Open an Account
  2. Pick the Axi demo server — for example Axi-US50-Demo
  3. Choose “Open a demo account” and fill in your details. The contest requires this exact setup:
    • Account type: USD-ROW-PRO
    • Deposit: 10000 USD (the standard contest capital)
    • Leverage: 1:1000
Server: Axi-US50-Demo Account type: USD-ROW-PRO (1:1000) Deposit: 10000 USD, virtual funds I agree to the terms of account opening and the data protection policy Name / email: your own details — a confirmation code may be sent if the email isn't verified yet.
Use exactly 10,000 USD / USD-ROW-PRO / 1:1000 — rankings are equity-based, so everyone must start from the same capital.

Step 3 — Save your credentials (the important screen)

When the account is created, MT5 shows this once — copy it somewhere safe (“Copy information to clipboard” link does it in one click):

Name: J. Trader (you) Login: 500XXXXX Password: •••••••• (master — NEVER share this one) Investor: •••••••• ← read-only — this is the one for TradeWars “Please keep your login and passwords in a safe place.”
Three lines: login, master password (private), investor password (read-only).

Step 4 — What to enter on trade-wars.org

Go to Connect your account (sign in first) and map the three values from Step 3:

Click “Link & test connection” — we verify your login, server and password live and tell you immediately if something is off.

Troubleshooting

  • “Server not found” — copy the server name exactly as shown in the bottom-right of your MT5 terminal (dashes and spaces matter).
  • “Password rejected” — you probably entered the master password. Use the investor one; lost it? Set a new investor password in 2 minutes.
